In India, nearly 1.75% of the population lives with special needs due to intellectual impairments, yet the availability of trained professionals falls far short of the demand. At Tamahar, we believe it is imperative to step up and bridge this gap by offering services that are inclusive, holistic, and accessible—irrespective of the type of condition or socio-economic background. Under one roof, families can access all the support they need without having to run from place to place. Operating from a modest 4,000 sq. ft. space, we provide a wide range of trans-disciplinary services for children and adults with intellectual impairments, helping them and their caregivers find strength, dignity, and a path toward an inclusive community.
